The month of May has definitely been a wet one for Raleigh, but the skies held off this past Tuesday and allowed for comfortable temperatures and an even greater turnout.  Agents came from all over, some of the offices including our very own Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston Falls and Strickland Offices, Keller Williams, Remax, the Wake Forest Allen Tate office, Coldwell Banker Advantage, Ammons Pittman, and Remax One.  Agents dined on delicious summer fare catered by Catering Works.  The menu included traditional summer picnic items such as BBQ chicken, potato salad, black bean and corn salad, mini biscuits, sweet tea (of course), and the best assorted dessert bars this side of the Mason Dixon line.

I am so excited to announce that The Jim Allen Group won big at this years Triangle Sales and Marketing Council 2010 MAME Awards.  What does MAME stand for you ask?  Well, only the greatest thing since sliced bread… Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence.  This year the program was held at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC.  It was beautifully decorated and very well attended.  Word on the street is that the Home Builder’s Association made double over the funds they raised for the 2009 MAME Awards.  Now, if you don’t think that means the market is picking up I don’t know what.

The evening started with a beautiful cocktail hour and allowed those who attended to mingle with other top real estate industry professionals.  I always love seeing people from the industry that I haven’t seen in a while so it really was a wonderful kick-off to the evening.  The cocktail reception was followed by a sit down meal and awards ceremony.  And let me tell you, the Jim Allen Group came home with their arms full.  I’m talking our arms full of trophies, trophies, and more trophies.  Jim Allen won General Brokerage Sales Person of the Year, and we also came home with two Best Parade Home Awards:  Best Parade of Homes Bronze Winner for Cornerstone Signature Builders and Best Parade of Homes Gold Winner for Bost Custom Homes.  And speaking of Bost Custom Homes, Rex Bost and the Behind Schedule Band provided the tunes for the evening, always creating a lively environment for all that attend.
